First we have no fall. Then we have no winter weather. Now we have an Air Quality Alert for tomorrow?

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IS IN EFFECT FOR SATURDAY JANUARY 9 2016...

THE MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT HAS ISSUED A CODE
ORANGE AIR QUALITY ALERT SATURDAY FOR
    WESTERN MARYLAND.

A CODE ORANGE AIR QUALITY ALERT MEANS THAT AIR POLLUTION
CONCENTRATIONS WITHIN THE REGION MAY BECOME UNHEALTHY FOR
SENSITIVE GROUPS. SENSITIVE GROUPS INCLUDE CHILDREN...PEOPLE
SUFFERING FROM ASTHMA... HEART DISEASE OR OTHER LUNG
DISEASES...AND THE ELDERLY. THE EFFECTS OF AIR POLLUTION CAN
BE MINIMIZED BY AVOIDING STRENUOUS ACTIVITY OR EXERCISE OUTDOORS.

Did Rosie O'Donnell fart or something and we didn't get the word?

Its all of those evil non EPA compliant wood stoves you have out in western Md :D

Maybe that, but it isn't cold enough to fire them up. Could be the meat smokers making deer jerky or the wet leaves being burned. Oh, wait, I know! It's the white BP smoke we've been making at the range! Sure...that's it.

Aren't we now considered "Mountain Maryland" and Western Maryland is now to our East?

I would have thought so, but it ain't just us mountain folk pollutin' the air:

    GARRETT-WASHINGTON-EXTREME WESTERN ALLEGANY-
    CENTRAL AND EASTERN ALLEGANY-

With all those windmills we have on the mountain tops now maybe they can turn them around and blow the smog east?

Wind is coming from in from NY, NJ and Philly. It'll be gone Sunday.

Well now, that explains the "libtard odor" in the air outside. At first I thought somebody nailed a skunk, but tonight's aroma is definitely different.

I'm glad it wasn't one of our local critters gettin' flat...
