Anyone on here own one? I've always wanted one and business has been really good lately...so I'm thinking about springing for a nice custom build on a wheellock carbine or long rifle.

Go for it. In my foolish youth I wanted to someday own a series of historically accurate guns representing the development of firearms from the earliest hand cannons to modern arms. A German style wheellock target rifle would fill the niche nicely, as would a Cavalier's pistol.

Sounds like a fine idea...you'd certainly be the only person on the range with one. The big problem will be finding someone who makes them. I know there are a couple of smiths in Poland that are making wheellocks, but that's about it.
