ZooAmerica Hershey: Metal Detectors?

Planning a trip and really don't want to be wanded and have to return to my car to lock it up. Anyone with any recent experience at the zoo?

Not sure about the zoo. I know the park upgraded a few years ago. Their machines have a screen attached that tells the person running it where the object was detected. Interesting sidenote, baby strollers never get searched or wanded going through security checkpoints...

The zoo entrance does not have that set-up. No metal detectors. They may or may not have a security guard to check bags, but that’s it.
