While I never considered Berry's to be a target grade bullet, until now I never had occasion to weigh and measure them. I am working on some 300 BO sub loads and didn't want to break the bank on jacketed bullets so I got Berry's. After some fliers in my first batch, I decided to weigh them and found six different weight groups with up to a 2 grain spread. Additionally, I found their diameters to range from .3073 to .3076 and never a .308 even.
This is the first time I have ever used their rifle bullets. I have used their pistol bullets from time to time but I was just shooting IDPA targets and didn't look for tight groups.
I guess I will have to spring for some jacketed bullets to get some better consistency.
