Anyone know how long they're taking in Utah to get out non-res permits? Sent my app a week or two ago.

They can take up to 60 days from the time they receive it to get it to you.

My renewal was very quick also. Don't recall how many days but that sounds close.

I mailed mine off 07/05 and it took them 30 days to open it and charge my credit card. I was told 60 days and they meant it!

Thanks for the input everyone. Guess it’ll be close to when MD gets sent to me as well. Wonder which will come first.

Just renewed my Utah permit online. Took about 10 minutes and 8 of that was watching a firearm safety video. They say expect 2-4 weeks turnaround time.

It was approved 09/07 mailed 09/09 and received today. YMMV

• Weapon Familiarity Certification. Applicants must complete a firearms familiarity course certified by BCI. No exceptions. The course must be completed before you apply for a permit. Please have your instructor complete the certification information on the application. View a list of (in-state) (out-of-state) certified instructors.

Fortunately, the HQL course with Utah specific info (4hrs) and no firing range requirement is all you need.

Mine was a renewal, watched a 10 minute firearms safety and suicide prevention video online and paid the fee on August 25, received permit in the mail today
