      Recoil wise, my opinion is they are about the same. In a full size steel pistol, 9mm is about as good as a shooter as it gets.

      Personally, I would not walk around with a long gun regardless of whether the law said I could. As noted, it would invite at the minimum a discussion with the local fuzz.
