Who has any info or knowledge on M1903 Springfields' cartouches and parts markings. I have a low serial number receiver made in 1911 (one of the ones that will supposedly explode) that was made by Rock Island and I am trying to figure out if the stock and bolt matches the barrel and receiver.

Looks like it fires ok to me (judging by the empty casings on the table.)

Just remember that the gun is pushing 100 years old and treat it accordingly.

Off topic.......Do you work for Whiting-Turner?
