I logged into the portal this morning and it said I was approved but it also had this message….

The review of your Handgun Permit application, has been completed by Maryland State Police, Licensing Division. You will receive written notification of the disposition via the United States Postal Service within 10-14 business days.

The 10-14 days is that’s when my card arrives? It also did not give my my permit number anywhere so I don’t know how you all are getting that info. I just have my application number.

So is it an MSP official process to wait 30 days between NICS and assigned to an investigator? Seems like a lot of wasted time given an NICS background check can take hours to complete not weeks.
