Armory USA makes (made?) decent receivers, their own line of high-end polymer furniture, and good completed builds. I have examples of the first two, never owned one of their AKs but they've gotten consistently good reviews.
Where did you hear they are changing their name to Arsenal U.S.A.? That seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen unless Arsenal Inc. has a vested interest in it.
As recently as last year Century was selling 74 builds using Armory USA receivers, but it does look they've gone out of business. Would be interested to know the back story.
Armory USA I think used to be arsenal USA and used to import AK's and parts kits from abroad and assemble them here mostly Bulgarian and Hungarian ak's. They made their own receivers some 1mm. and some 1.6. They were once the only game in town making quality receivers and domestic ak's. Apparently they went out of business but started a new company called elk river tool and die where they just build receivers. They did contract work for century with their ak-74's. Recently they have gotten mixed reviews but are still considered decent receivers but not as good as the Houston originals.
Their quality AK build wise is again decent, not the best. Since they were imported as they were they had their muzzle caps welded to the fsb and no bayonet lugs. The ssrc's they imported were once milled type 3 ak's they put on 1.6mm stamped receivers. Quality with those were hit or miss.
