Hello - I'm getting ready to ditch the tupperware stock on my Savage 12FV (.223). I have a Culbertson Prone stock in black laminate that I want to bed the action to. The Savage is unlike a Rem in that it only has 2 saddles that you can really bed - recoil lug area in front of the magazine and just behind the magazine in front of the trigger.

The magazine is staked to the action and the trigger is an Accu-trigger. Taking off the trigger looks tough in and of itself... Removing the mag well looks like I'd have to re-stake it if I removed it and I'm really not into that either.

The places for the bedding butt up against the mag well and the trigger. I think I'm gonna have to be REALLY good with taping and release agent or chance taking things apart. Has anyone ever bedded one and are there any suggestions?

    Thanks
