Help because of 3-7 inches? Wouldn't that be like people being "rescued" in boats during flooding and the rescuers are walking in calf deep water?

3" of snow is a joke for the most part, but some people don't know how to drive in it. As the inches increase, the number of people that can drive in it becomes even smaller. I'm fine until it gets above 24". Then I have to work a little to get where I need to go.

My neighbor is in his 70's, has lymphoma, and probably would need a ride to the hospital. I've already told him to call me if he needs me.

7" of snow will suck for goose hunting. Think I am calling it quits for hunting until turkey season and then ramping up for some shooting over the summer.

If any of you guys need some help in the Ellicott City area with the snow, shoot me a PM. Cannot guarantee anything having a wife and three young kids, but more times than not I come through.

I grew up just south of buffalo. It would snow a foot over night and they would just put chains on the school busses. If there is an emergency call 911 but really 3-7in isn't that bad. (That's what she said) I've noticed a lot of people panic here in md when there is a possibility it will snow. Calm......down........ And don't drive like a maniac. It is snow.....

Can't help - gotta get to the store and stock up on milk, bread, and toilet paper before it runs completely out. OMG!!!!! All snow weenies should leave NOW!!

Realistically, will be putting gas line anti freeze in my tank as its supposed to get below 10 soon.

The hype in MD never fails to amaze me.

You can probably thank the media, since the weather has turned into a theatrical performance for ratings and advertising income. If they said "oh by the way, it might snow tomorrow so drive safe" and moved on with the news, it would be much calmer around here.

I personally wouldn't mind one more whopper. I love when the kids see the snow and you can see their heads spinning. Although CC closes schools when people throw ice cubes on their lawn, so could be a big nothing.

Not to be a pain, but...

This is about more than driving. It's about community.

    Heat is out.
    Genny won't start.
    Will my XYZ be OK?
Anyone able to get me a Glabulator? Mine died and Grandma needs one.

You never know, and someone here can help.

Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

    Why... those two-faced.....

TWC has become the laughingstock of many "real" meteorologists, and the network itself has blown much of its credibility by becoming what I call Weather Entertainment Television... They are, IMO, all "W. E. T."
