It came today. It looks fantastic - completely unissued condition - down to plastic protective covers on the iron sights.

My crappy phone pic does not do it justice. It is liberally covered in cosmo, so I'll spend part of the weekend cleaning it up. It's my first SKS so I want to learn about it as I take it apart to clean it. In the accessory tube there's an extra firing pin, along with the other normal accessories.

The log book is neat - stamps and handwriting/signatures all over the place.

Oh, and I'm definitely going to shoot it. :)

    love that chrome.

    this is beautiful.

I'm a big fan of the yugo SKSs due to my propensity for melonite treating my firearms, since the bores are usually just gorgeous and not chrome lined. I've found them to be the most accurate of the SKSs. let us know how it shoots!

Oh, and I am not suggesting you melonite this, it is AMAZINGLY perfect just the way she is

Me too, but I don't have room for guns I don't shoot and I wouldn't wanna spoil that beauty by firing her.

You don't mess around, that's a hell of a choice for your first SKS!

That looks sweet. I like how they didn't go crazy with the Chrome, just accented the rifle with it.

My 59/66 that I shoot is my most accurate SKS as well.

That is an awesome rig, some real history there!

I couldn't have brought myself to put my money in one, but they were fairly priced for what they are.

You should have bought two, one for a shooter/parading around the neighborhood. The other for posterity.
