So I have a friend who is helping a close friend sell their husband's firearms. The husband has passed and the wife just wants to see the guns go to a good home, but the friend does not want to short-change her on the value. He asked me to give my two cents since he knew I was into shooting a bit more than he was. So I gave my best guess given the condition, but I'd like to hear what the experts here think.

Walther PPK in 9mm Kurz. Marked "Made in West Germany" and on the slide it says "Imported by Interarms." Now looking at the book price I am guessing this one is actually worth some money since it is an original Walther.

Colt 1911A1. Slide and frame appear to be matching and it is marked "United States Property" on the frame. Another one I believe is worth a little bit of coin.

Smith and Wesson 39-2 9mm. Gorgeous bluing except near the safety, but should be worth a couple bucks at least.

Interarms Imported WG PPK are around $450 +/- depending on condition. I had 2 of them, VG Cond @ $450 and $230 in Good Cond. WWII and pre WWII take pot $600-$1200 depending on the year, waffenampt, etc etc

    S&W 39 are C&R but not the 39-2....VG cond I'd say @ $350. I got my 39-2 @ $300

Nate...is that an AMD 65 in your avatar??? also Damien says Hi. txt me later this week

Walter would be around 500, 1911 guessing 1300 maybe more depending on details. No idea on the last one.

that 1911 is definitely worth a lot of money. That is a piece of history. Whatever you do.. dont clean it up.. just a thin coat of oil should be good.
fair pricing would be around 1000 - 1300. It does look like a Colt

    This might help:

    The Smith & Wesson model 39-2 9m/m semi-auto was
introduced in 1954, in the traditional double-action configuration.
It had an alloy (anodized) frame, and a carbon steel slide, 8-shot
magazine, and a 4" barrel. Since the prototype model 39-1 NEVER
existed, the sequence went from the original model 39 directly to
the model 39-2. It featuered checkered walnut grips, a serrated
1/8" front ramp sight, with a micrometer click adjustable rear
sight for windage-only. The hammer spur usually had a small
hole drilled in it, with a smooth forestrap and a stippled back
strap. S&W is stamped on the frames right side, 9mm CTG on
the extractor port; with later production models (after A160,
    000) simply marked 9m/m. Weighing just 27 ozs unloaded, an
with a smooth trigger and magazine safety (which I don't like)-
its my favorite of the 9m/m class. The last S&W model 39-2
(S/N A747148) was shipped on Feburary 15, 1983; as regular
    production ended it 1982.

Approximate value runs from a low of $175 (fair condition), to
a high of 'bout $400 for "As New In Box" condition. The Illinois
State Police were the first agency to adopt the S&W model
39-2, as a standard, issued sidearm for their department. Some special models of the gun can be worth thousands.

The alloy frame 39-2 was made 1970-1982

I concur with the crowd on a $1200-$1300 price for the 1911. For whatever reason, WWII 1911s go for a lot of money.

First post....I am Nate's buddy the one he alluded to in the beginning of this post and have been lurking for a while.....finally pulled the trigger. The 1911 is sitting at the shop now awaiting my pickup!! Dan at the shop was able to safely remove that bit of spooge that you can slightly see smeared on the slide, it was also on the rear site. It looked like some sort of children's glow in the dark enamel and I wasn't sure if it could be removed without disturbing the bluing but he got it. I have a feeling this guy spent quite a few nights in his shed drinking a ton of beer and Youtubing, "awesome gun mods".
