I’ve never seen a detector at the Annapolis hospital or doctors office buildings in all my visits over the last five years. I do leave the pistol at home when general anesthesia will be involved.
Yeah. The staff should be encouraged to be armed…..I was working in a pain management clinic in Baltimore one day last year and one of their disgruntled patients (something to do with their perscriptions) threatened to come back and "shoot all you mother f***ers". Police came and stuck around until quiting time.
I was working in another office, where the doctor encouraged us to carry, and my first testing patient of the day came in wearing an orange jumpsuit, leg irons and a belly chain. As I was standing doing his test one of his guards was sitting about 2 feet behind me. He didn't say a word, concealed is concealed. LOLYeah. The staff should be encouraged to be armed…..
Howards is owned by JH, so not surprised. I bet all JH hospitals have them (Sibley Memorial in DC and Suburban in Bethesda). No detectors at Carroll ER or main entrance.
Howard County has detectors at the ER.
