They are in the business of manufacturing and selling guns, period.
At least its an American made product.

Sure, you are a welcome addition to the crew. We have 6, so what the heck....

I will take a Mossberg 590A1 20" ported barrel Blackwater edition and a Geelock Gen4 22.
Maybe a nice Rossi 92Cross 'em off my list too - I was thinking about Marlin as a lever-action rifle to look at to go with my .357 revolver, but they just lost that sale.
Money trumps principles once again
SAVAGE is the way to go now
Darn! I wanted a 700. Guess the bolt gun goes to the back of the line.
You! Got me all interested in it, don't abandon me now! Next?
Oh and by the way, I stole one of my favorite lines of yours for today's signature. Hope ya don't mind

Really people? Ruger and Mossberg haven't jumped to leave Connecticut, not mention Les Baer and Springfield Armory are in Illinois y'all ain't boycotting them for staying there. At least Remington is headquartered in a red state. The 870 and the 700 are in the same category of American classics as the 1911.
As was already stated in this thread, it's a FEDERAL CONTRACT. They are NOT in deals with NY state. Also the NY factory is only a fraction of their production. They are trying to keep the Army Individual Carbine competition alive. Their ACR is one of the front runners in the competition and winning could yield one of the biggest contracts in recent history. No doubt this is an arse kissing move to keep in on the feds good side.
