    Title change coming.....

    1. Civil Immunity Bill Advances in Senate Committee

SB411, the civil immunity bill has advanced out of the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee by a unanimous vote. We're unsure what has caused the seismic shift in the Chairman's willingness to allow a vote after several years of "desk drawering" it. Presuming that it passes the full Senate without any odd amendments added to it and it proceeds to the House in a similar manner, we'll take it. Thanks for your efforts in working on this legislation.

    2. HB820 Voted Down In Committee!

We just got word that HB820, Senator Rosenberg's Firearms Safety Act of 2010, has been voted down in committee. Your dedicated work over the last several weeks succeeded in defeating this treacherous piece of legislation and we thank you for your efforts. Since this was a crossfile of SB645, the Senate version that was introduced by Chairman Frosh, it appears that we are safe on this bill for the year. We thank Delegate Mike Smigiel for leading the charge in against this legislation in the committee today.
