A friend of a friend had a relative pass away and has numerous rifles, some of which were most likely custom rifles without markings, or so we are told there are no markings. We are trying to get a chance to look at some of these in person but the question came up of how to determine the caliber of the rifle without any markings on it...So I found this article. Some good info in it. Hopefully we will be able to see what kind of guns are available and make some good purchases.

Any chance they have any leftover ammo that could at least help you narrow down the choices?

Im not positive, Im getting information from my buddy who is getting his information from his friend and that person is kind of being cautious about who see's what theyve got. If its a custom long range rifle I would assume its some kind of oddball ammo, but perhaps its just an unmarked common ammo rifle.
