Wal-mart was having a sale on rifles they are no longer carrying so I decided to get the 6940 that I have been wanting for years it was 1097 + 8% sales tax. So I bring it home take the upper and put in on my Windham lower that has all a lot of upgrades so works fine and finishes match up great. So I decided Jessie could have to Colt lower for her lefty Stag upper well I go to put it on with no luck.

Has anyone else has this problem?

I mean she has a Windham ME Bushy lower so it's not a big deal either way.

It's not that they don't line up it's that the colt pins seem too big for it or it is just slightly offset because both the front at rear pins do they go in but you would have to hammer them which I am not doing because I will need a punch and a hammer to get them out. Not great for the lower

    Just don't force the pins.

Aluminum receivers don't like 'stuff' being forced.

That's why I just put it back how it was I am not screwing up anything!

I have my Windham upper on the colt works fine I'll leave it alone I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this

Okay, I am curious- if you have a complete 6940, why are you switching uppers around? Why not leave the Colt as is?

Because I have the Trigger guard, Trigger, stock and end plate I want already on the Windham lower and I am not going to switch it all around.

If you have some calipers check the holes and the pins. Some of my uppers and lowers fit pretty tight but a little emory cloth and lube does wonders. If they spec out the same size no harm in tweaking the fit by smoothing the finish.
