Finally got my Ruger New Model Blackhawk, after a few months wait. Its a dealer exclusive model!

It has a Bisley Grip, Hammer, and is a convertable, in Stainless Steel. 5 1/2" barrel & chambered in 45LC, the 2nd cylinder is for 45ACP. The 45LC cyclinder in engraved, with a Ruger logo, a Bisley shooter, and a small revolver. The 45ACP cylinder, is a standard stainless fluted.

Had it at the range today, and ran 100 rounds of 45LC throught. I really like it! This gun can handle the heavy Ruger 45LC loads, that borders on 44Mag power and has a higher knockout rating then a standard 44Mag load, using John Taylors Knockout formula!

Here are some pics! I tried to take some close ups of the engraving, but it was hard to do because of the flash.

LOVE those smooth cylinders. My super red hawk Alaskan has the smooth cylinder and its one of my favorite handguns I own. Great looking Blackhawk you got there

That's a beauty Rock! The action is smooth as silk. Thanks for letting my try it today.

There's no doubt I'll have a blackhawk before 10/1. I don't want to be treated like a criminal in Marylandistan by waiting to buy one after that.

Nice . Exceeding versatile just in the .45LC , even more so with acp cylnder.

The Bisley grip frame is *interesting* .

It is nearly universally acknowledged that it is top rate for comfort and control for really heavy loads in a SA . *For Me* , the standard Blackhawk grip frame is much more natural pointing. The older 3 screws most of all.

At some point the various lines intersect to where the recoil absorbing qualities of Bisley move ahead , but it's a murkey line , and varies from person to person.

That is beautiful. First time I really notice the smooth cylinder. Sexy! That Ruger green/grey laminate grip/stock they use on their stuff is a sweet color too.
