I submitted a revolver for approval and was amazed to see the number of handguns that have also been submitted. These will all join the roster unless someone appeals:

Here's a question - does the handgun roster board ever reject a submission, and if so, why?

It seems to me that it would be easier to come up with a law for exclusions (not that there should be anything) and do away with the roster altogether.

Confused, the above shows the Glock 19M (gen5), 30S (gen5) and 29 (gen5) being added.. I own 2 of those, since when does every iterative gen need to be added?

    Yes , but rarely.

It's generally know by the industry what inherently wouldn't fly ( ie no trigger guard ) , so the major mfgs or large distributors don't bother .

You can dig thru the state's website and there's a list of rejections . For the most part , it's cheap knockoff POS of other POS .

I don't follow these quarterly roster boards, but in my opinion this is nothing "incredible" and surmise this is just normal? Manufactures design new firearms all the time, and besides maryland having a "roster" there's not much else to keep things out of the state.

There's a few that have failed the testing, and get rejected. Usually it's because the distributor sent a randomly chosen gun that happened to be a lemon. The KelTec P-32 got rejected but it's supposed to be decent.

If it's considered a model addition, they don't bother to test it.

If you've dug into the latest offerings from Cimarron/ Uberti , I'm curious about something not immediately obvious from their website .

They have separate Model Names for the New Model Army , and the New Model NAVY . Are the currently using an historically correct " Navy size " frame , or just offering the full size Army frame , chambered in .38 ?

Historically, it was chambered in .38 with the shorter barrel for the Navy. Sites mostly list it as a New Army no matter the caliber and barrel length. I thought about getting the .38 but I have more fun reloading and shooting the .45 (Colt, ACP and Auto Rims.)

    Almost never.

    The MGA already did that.

Eliminate the roster and Board and no "new" handguns could ever be added.

The Kel Tec P32 is on the list and has been for years.

The Beretta Tomcat, unlike the .22 models, has a tendency to bite your finger. The .32 has more pronounced flip and the trigger breaking so far back allows your finger to get slapped by either the trigger or the trigger guard.
Was that the one that they had a little issue with the barrel cracking?
I have a Bobcat and like it for what it is but I'd like to have a .32 ACP version with better reliability . I've had a ton of misfires with the Bobcat.
