2009-10 Deer Harvest
Maryland deer hunters once again set a record by harvesting 100,663 deer in 2009-10; just slightly higher than the 100,437 harvested the year before
(Table 1, Figure 1). The harvest was comprised of 33,761 antlered deer and 66,902 antlerless deer (Figure 2). The antlerless harvest included 56,299 does and 10,603 button bucks. Compared to 2008-09, the harvest of antlered deer decreased 3% while the antlerless harvest increased 2%
