Nice shot!was on a hike in Palmer State Park on the 24th when I heard *whack* I knew right away I heard 2 bucks get into a fight, by the time I got up the hill the fight was over and the winner was chasing his opponent off, the winner stood proud when he saw me.

its late but warm enough today.
Nice photo and yeah I don't see them around this time of yearSee them around plenty in the warmer months but this is the first time I recall seeing one during winter.

If you have marshes, swamps, run off ponds or ponds that have Cattail Rushes, you will usually see Red Wing Blackbirds. They are spread far and wide in the US but, as someone said, it is unusual to see them this far North in the cold weather. They usually head to the Southern US when the cold comes.Pretty little visitor. I don't see them very often.
