I just bought a new mini 30 and was thinking about mounting a scope on it. I seem to remember seeing conflicting info on having to take or not take of the scope to clean and field strip. I thought I could figure it out by tasking it apart but all that did was make me appreciate how easy AR's are to brake down.
Any one here that owns of these, I would love to know before I buy a scope.
also has any one found after market mags that work? All the mags had very bad customer reviews on midway. Thanks

its alot easier to clean with scope off, red dot may be a better choice, have had both on mine but realized that the gun and cartridge combo is a short range deal so going back to peeps , i use warn ruger rings, and evolution one pcs base for red dot, pro-mag 10 rnd mags work great ,the rest suck

I don't have a 30 but I have couple of 14's and neither likes aftermarket mags much. One thing I'm going to try is taking the aftermarket 20-rounders I have and inserting Wolff springs. I have a feeling the extra pressure might make some difference.
