Is this just petty delay tactics or do they have a legitimate complaint?
"Legitimate" is not a word one would use when referring to MoCo's deliberate insult to SCOTUS and MD's permit holders.

IMHO, they are trying to relitigate the relief ordered in the opinion because the opinion was so bad for them that they can’t just accept the loss.

Sounds like MoCo is stomping their feet and whining because they didn’t get their way. They may not stop until they get stomped by a court so bad the county attorney tells them to give it up.

And then they’ll try some other county ordnance worded differently but the same intent…and claim it’s legally defensible. After all…it’s not their money they’re wasting.

I'm hoping they don't stop, and eventuallt get cited for contempt for flouting the Court's order. Which, if they do, they'll publicize and brag about.

What are the standards for civil and criminal contempt in MD? Because I have little doubt the MoCo idealogues will cross both thresholds with great fanfare.

I just hope and pray, that one day
MoCo and the State must pay
by check to MSI for the delay.
MSI can spend tax money a better way.

Is there some point in time when, absent an effort by MoCo, you propose your draft order to the court for their consideration?

It is worth their while to try to reduce the monetary output. Just like not losing a fight that you were not in, you cannot win an appeal that you do not make.

Thanks so much for all you do Mark. Do we know what is currently legal now as far as carry goes in MoCo?
The legal answer is until the court order actually comes out, still a no go.

The real answer is they would be stupid to try to arrest someone knowing they lost. Would be a nice payday in the long run.

Montgomery County needs a spanking so bad their butts will be sore for years

Bruen 2: Electric Boogaloo needs to happen for that.
