Nice to know they are taking care of our PII so well...

I wonder if they can have issues with their accreditation over matters like this?

Well at least sounds like you could have had a ticket "fixed" with no audit trail.

Wow, turning off audit tracking on the citation system. That's pretty major right there.

Ok, so what does DSP stand for?

Department of State Police - Instead of DMSP.

Organization of the Maryland State Police The Maryland State Police is a paramilitary organization. Both our organizational structure and our rank structure are modeled after the United States military. In general, there are:

Department of State Police (commanded by the Colonel)
Bureaus (commanded by a Lieutenant Colonel)
    Commands (commanded by a Major)
    Troops (commanded by a Captain)
Divisions (commanded by a Captain or Civilian Director)
    Barracks (commanded by a Lieutenant)
Sections (commanded by a Captain, Lieutenant, or Civilian Director)
Units (commanded by a First Sergeant)

Not invoicing or collecting transfer fees from FFL's in a timely manner or at all.
This audit was 2009-2011. I would love to see something for the last 6 months.

MSP has your back.... and they look like they just might have the strap-on of justice ready to go, too. You're safe with them covering your six.

Holy crap, the DBA's can change any record at any time without logs! WTF! On a system of legal records!

Ah, a blast from the past. Good old Office of Legislative Audits. Worked for them in the early 90s, but there was only a couple of names on the audit staff from that report that I remember from back then.

With that said, those findings are horrendous. The next audit should have an ending audit date somewhere in late 2013. I'd be interested in seeing the audit findings on that one, and to see whether they even fix these current findings.
