    I don't know what everyone else uses to trim the foam in these cases but it is a PITA to do a clean job. At least for me it was! I have a few of the full size Pelican cases but I wanted to try a smaller case. If this works out I may have to setup a couple AR15 cases similar to this one.

    Thx for posting pics. What did you use to cut the foam? I have several cases to do for my daughters competition air and Anschutz rifle and think ice decided to use a hot wire foam cutter - now need to decide to build or buy one.

    Looks like it came out pretty well from the pics.

    I think I see less than an inch of foam between some parts...start again...I'll take the reject:lol2::beer:

    FYI, an electric knife does a good job cutting foam cleanly.

    Thanks everyone! I'm happy with how it turned out but I wish the cutting was cleaner. I used a large fixed blade knife but it still made jagged edges. I'm going to do another case or two for AR15's so I'll try out the hot wire next time or the electric cutters.
