    National ordnance was a firm manufacturing rifles from USGI parts kits with cast (often poorly) receivers. They made 03's, garands and apparently carbines.

    They have high failure rates and no collector value (except for the parts). Have it inspected by a competent gunsmith.

    That said, since it fires pistol ammo you don't have the pressures associated with the rifle rounds so you may have better odds of it being safe...
