    Here it is.

    So far I've
#1 Put on the VZ 320 grips you see (green/black matched the gun best)
#2 Fit an STI TAS adjustable rear sight
    #3 Wilson 18.5 # recoil spring & shokbuff
#4 Ed Brown Mainspring housing and Magwell combo

500 rounds with no malfunctions, and I made Expert in CDP w/ it Saturday @ AAFG's IDPA classifier.

is that an 8 round mag or 9?

once i get a 1911 :innocent0 i plan on getting into the IDPA... if im old enough to participate and can you compete in IDPA if you have a standard 1911 with a 7rd magazine?

Its an 8 rounder, and yes, you can compete with 7s. On some stages its actually an advantage. You only have to be over 12 years old to compete.

You're not alone. I have to make a list at work of all the stuff to revisit when I get home.

Looks good. I might just get one of those and trick it out with the stuff I want.

Did you have to have the dovetail cut on it?

Nope. The tactical (a step up from their GI model) comes that way, along with beavertail grip and ambidextrous thumb safeties.
