While down in the great state of DE I picked up a rod/reel combo from Bills Bait and Tackle in Lewes (BTW great store with no sales tax=awesomeness). Bill Jr helped me out and set me up with an awesome combo, better than what I was willing to leave with. Anyway the Rod is the Shimano Trevala Butterfly Jigging 6'6" Medium Action and the reel is the Shimano Baitrunner 6000D lined with 30 lb Power Pro line (they did it for me at the store:thumbsup:).

Now I just got to get out on the water.:party29:

Very nice. I've got a few of those rods and they are bad ass!

At the store Bill let me hook the reel into the rod and then grabbed the tip of the rod and told me to "fight the fish". Needless to say, I think it will work just fine for stripers and blues. Can't wait!

I have the older model bait runner and it has landed everything from pin fish to a 7' bull shark from the beach in OBX. Every time I head out I have it and my 9500Penn. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks yall, been working on the boat getting it ready for the fall striper run. Just picked up a new 18' trailer yesterday for the boat. That was half the battle. Its so close I can taste it.
