I can only get one....for now. If you could only have one, which would it be and why? Here are my choices:

Ruger LCP - I carry out of state from time to time and am looking for something smaller and more comfortable.

Ruger MKIII Target model - cheap plinking, wife and eventualy child can use.

Glock 19C - I used to have a G19-1st generation way back when. Sort of miss it. I do not have a 9mm right now.

only one you say? well choice would depend if you want to get the wife involved now or later ( to facilitate another purchase)

If you have a HD pick up the Ruger, for cheap fun and good times.
Go Glock if you want a double duty piece (HD and range)

If you want wife child to shoot as a priority, get the Ruger .22, if for wife and you mostly, get the Glock.

    Just my .02

If you want a great 9mm that you can also carry, look into the CZ P-01. Its super comfortable and the recoil isn't anything that your wife couldn't shoot ( its my girlfriends favorite gun besides the .25).

Well, since you carry, go with a carry gun. right now, you can find 9mm ammo, but .380 is like hen's teeth. JMHO.

Everyone needs a good .22 plnker. I just think protection would come before a range gun.

I certainly like the cost of .22 ammo! If I got a .22 pistol, the Ruger Mk III Hunter is my fave...
