Recommened Scopes for 17HMR

What are some scopes that have served you well for 17HMR? Will go on a Marlin XT17-VR

BSA Sweet 17. 3-12x40. Although I've debated going to a vortex 4-16 diamondback.

I'll add that BSA recitcle is a bit thick. Mine is older,maybe new ones are better. Cabelas also has a .17 specific scope, think its only 3-9.

I have a BSA Sweet 17 on my Marlin XT-17.
The two work great together.

Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x44 $170
Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 4.5-14x44 $230 (had the best reviews of the three)

Also Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16x42mm for $250; solid reviews. The Crossfire does not have parallax adjustment; but maybe that's not too big a deal.

I agree with you about having a MIL dot reticle. And the Mueller APT Tactical Rifle Scope is $160 on Amazon
