Finally did my all stainless conversion. Thanks, Bollinger's!

    original...

shitty iphone pics of how they look now. I'll clean them later and take some nice pics and post in the 1911 porn thread:

That is SEXY. Might have to that to mine. How much did the parts and work run you?

    Parts list added to OP.

    Parts list:

    Nighthawk Custom Extractor #M0079

Ed Brown Firing Pin Stop #820-S
Ed Brown Extended Mag Release (SS) #855-E
Ed Brown Gov't Mainspring Housing, Chainlink, Stainless #817C
Ed Brown Extended Safety, Wide, Stainless #891
Ed Brown Rebuild Kit, Stainless # 814-S
Ed Brown Hex Head Grip Screws, Stainless #810-S

    Smith & Alexander .220 Grip Safety, Palmswell, S/S (849-009-127WB on Brownell's)

I went overboard and replaced some of the internals with WC parts too, it is definitely not necessary. The above list should do you just fine.

    Beautiful work Brian!

Mine shot great right out of the box and looked good too.

So did mine... they say if ain't broke, don't fix it. OTOH... they're mine and I wanted to do it, so I did. haha. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it, but every day since I did it I love em more and more.

That and I kind of like having the only all stainless set in existence (to my knowledge at least).

I've never said this to a guy before, "nice set" :innocent0.
Have you shot since the work?

You are going to cost me too much money. Ill send you pics of the grips once I get them.

Amazing how I am already spending money on something I just got the paperwork done.

Can you tell us where you ordered the parts (with exception of the grips - mine are on the way from Ruger!) for the stainless conversion? Was it from Brownell's? Also, who did the holsters? Very nice. I have a transfer coming at Bollinger's so why not consolidate a trip and have them do mine just like yours while I'm at it? Cheers!

Most of the Ed Brown parts I ordered direct from Ed Brown.

I think everything else was either Midway or Brownell's.

Holster is from Andrew's Custom Leather. He does fantastic work.

NOW DON'T GO COPYING MY SETUP COMPLETELY, YA HERE?!?!?! ;)

I sweat your rig soooo bad I actually emailed Bollinger's and asked for a quote on having the "full OCCBRIAN" treatment for my Ruger. Now I'm off to Andrew's Custom Leather site. Of course I can only ever be half a twin since I only have ONE SR1911. What is it they say about imitation being the sincerest form of flattery?

Whew! I got chills and goosebumps from those beauties!!! Can't wait until I buy mine :D

I love those grips, too! If I wasn't planning on getting custom OEF grips, I'd definitely drop the 35 for those!

Are those 8 rd mags you have paired with your CMD as well? I know the CMD only ships with 2 7rd mags instead of the 7 rd and 8rd that come with the gov't model. I wasn't sure if the CMD model would fit the 8 rd mags.
