TCSC IDPA Match 4/19

The April IDPA match is the annual Classifier. The match will begin at about 12:00. No new shooters class. Only people who have shot IDPA at TCSC before can shoot on that day.

Like sinzitu said 11ish. It will be a classifier match. We will setup 2 bays and maybe a third depending on turnout. Set up is easy for the classifier. We normally run the shooter through the whole classifier. Then take the next shooter.

Recently did the York 3 man 3 gun and now have the itch Looks like IDPA will take care of it.

Yeah, I would like to come shoot too, but the only shooting I've done at Thurmont previously was the CMP competitions. No IDPA for me

Spectators are welcome, though the Classifier is not like your typical match. It may not be the most exciting to watch. There should be plenty of folks there to talk with while they wait their turn at the course.

I have been doing a lot of reading there. Looks like my fit will be the SSP Div.

Tomorrow's shoot may be modified due to weather. I'm waiting for an update from our Match Director on how tomorrow's match will be run.

UPDATE for 4/19 match

From our Match Director Chip:


"The April TCSC IDPA match is ON for tomorrow.

Because of the weather forecast it will NOT be a classifier.

We will try to run a paper match, but if weather is bad, we'll be running steel

Neither Walt nor I can be there tomorrow, so Gene Ey is in charge, and Mike O. will be MCing the event.

Hopefully the weather will be better next month and we can knock out our classifier."


As an additional FYI - The match start time will be noon and there is NO new shooter class.

Steel is good.......Plastic bag covered cardboard is good too, just not as good.

I will not be able to make the match today. Work got in the way.

Glad I will get a chance to hopefully shoot the next match and get to shoot a qualifier. I just got my IDPA card in the mail last week.
