A message from the TCSC Match Director:
Shooters,
The IDPA Postal Match will be held on Tuesday November 13th. This is a week earlier than our regular matches so as to avoid colliding with Thanksgiving.
The IDPA Postal Match is a match in which clubs across the world run the same COF so that the shooters can compare their results. For the past two years, the match has averaged about 2500 shooters per year. Scores will be submitted to Postal Match Headquarters and the results will be announced at the beginning of the year. Last year, our TCSC shooters did well for a small IDPA club – capturing awards for CDP MA 3rd, ESP MA 6th, SSR 4th, High Lady, and Distinguished Senior.
To be eligible for this match, the shooter must be a current IDPA member and have a valid classification in at least one division. That means the shooter has shot the classifier between November 14, 2011 and November 13, 2012 (unless the shooter is classified as a Master, which is exempt from this requirement).
A shooter may – if he or she wishes- shoot this match for score in more than one IDPA division.
Show up time for the match is Noon (relay 1) or 2PM (relay 2). There will be No New Shooter class - this match is limited to those who have shot IDPA at TCSC before. To be eligible for this match, the shooter must be a current IDPA member and have a valid classification in at least one division. That means the shooter has shot the classifier between November 14, 2011 and November 13, 2012 (unless the shooter is classified as a Master, which is exempt from this requirement).
Details for the CoF may be found at http://www.idpapostalmatch.com/home . This year’s IDPA Postal Match has 4 stages and a round count of 48.
A shooter may – if he or she wishes- shoot this match for score in more than one IDPA division IF TIME ALLOWS.
Because the scores must be submitted to Postal Match headquarters and will be checked against IDPA records for current IDPA membership, it is essential that we have correct name and IDPA number. To avoid error (due to memory, penmanship or transcription error) and to facilitate match planning, pre-registration for this match is required.
To pre-register send the following information to: Hoffdance@aol.com
1) Name (as it appears on IDPA records)
2) IDPA Number
3) Specify one of the following:
A) Relay 1 (NOON),
B) Relay 2 (2PM), or
C) Both Relays (you must shoot in different divisions).
You can tell us your division/classification at the match.
If you sign up and then find you cannot make the match, please let us know by email.
