I wouldn't buy targets from Wal-Mart that aren't made of paper. I have heard about the cheap Champion spinner targets and wouldn't waste my money.

Fifth on the swingers... I was horrified, but I still clicked...

I'm confused who would ever think that those would hold up to a .308 or .223?! I've got one of the 3 hanging swinging targets from Walmart and it's great when used with a .22 from >25yds and that's all I ever expected from it.

the do-all self-sealing targets are pretty friggin impressive. As long as you don't hit the frame, they'll just keepm chugging along. If you do hit the frame, just replace it with a coat hanger or something and get back to work.

Anything less than the ar500 expensive steel targets generally suck in metal. Almost all the cheapo steel targets require use of soft point ammo that's more expensive. Someone bought the 30-cal metal swinger at basspro a year or so back, then returned it after punching a few mags full of holes through it. They didn't know fmj just punches straight through the mild steel they're made of.
