Cop buddy of mine wants to trade this snubby for a brand new P-3AT. What say the masses and S&W experts?

This gun is a little dirty as he's mainly just kept it in a bag so I'm not sure. On the other hand I only paid $249.00 for the Kel-Tec.

637 chief's special airweight. Assuming it is in good condition mechanically, with the visible holster wear, it's worth about $300-$350, a Used P3AT in excellent shape runs about $200-$250, decent shape puts it about $175-$200. They are in huge demand now, and usually backordered, so used ones tend to go for almost as much as new ones.

yeah, I just ran over there. It is in fact a 637-2.

So it's a bit dirty and needs some TLC but I'm assuming the concensus is my brand new p-3AT would be a good trade?

I own a S&W 442, similar to that except, it's black in color, and has a bobbed hammer (which is encased in the frame, so it doesn't snag on clothing).

I LOVE that gun. I'd say it's a good trade in your favor.

Thanks for the input, folks. I made the trade. Now I'm headed to cheaper than dirt to pick up another .380 for $249 with 50ct. box of ammo included.

I'd say this was a good trade. I love my Kel-Tec but I've been wanting a nice snubby so I guess it all worked out.

    Very Nice.

Examines gun: Can't tell frame size (K or N?).4" barrel (Not a Mdl 14), adjustable sights, target trigger, target grips, target hammer (the 3T's), blue finish. Shrouded extractor, not full lug (Not a Mdl 15).

    OK, I'll bite: Model 19 (K-frame) or Model 28/57/29?
