If Kathy Hochul is willing to sign the CCIA knowing very full well that its unconstitutional Wes Moore will sign SB1 as well. What makes anyone think he would be any more reasonable than that witch in NY? If anything, he's even further to the left of Broom Hilda.

This isn't about "reasonable" or rational behavior. Wes Moore will do what's best for Wes Moore's political career. "Governor of Maryland" is but a check-box on his political resumé in the furtherance of obtaining higher office.

The governor of Baltimore will let it become law without signing. He's nothing more than a stuffed suit using maryland as his stepping stone to a run for the white house. He wants to keep a clean record so nothing controversial can be tied to him. Pay attention to when he speaks, never makes a definitive statement, never answers the question. People make the mistake of hearing what they want to hear when he speaks. He is nothing more than an Obozo Jr.

It’s not controversial for the people that would vote for him, they agree with it. There is no downside for him politically. He will sign it.

He'll sign it. As said already...no downside for him. If and when it gets declared unconstitutional he can blame it on the "radical activist right-wing" courts and campaign against them. The lemmings in the media and in the populace in general will lap it up.

The only downside is a possible hitch if/when he aspires to national office. MD voters will lick his arse like a lollipop, because that's how they roll.

He's merely another Maryland "bump in the road" to POTUS, like O'Malley and Hogan. After a while these guys start believing their own bullsh!t, as they're surrounded by supportive sycophants seeking surreptitious, supplicative sustenance.

Proximity to DC is part of the problem. MD and VA local pols think that because they get invited to the same party events as national political figures because they're conveniently located, they are national political figures by some weird sort of osmosis.

Then when they actually try to campaign for national office, they get their reality check that in fact nobody more than 30 minutes drive outside the Beltway has any idea who they are.

Whether he signs it or not has no bearing on the lawsuit

Only on the timing because the lawsuit can't be filed until it becomes a law. So if he signs it it will be at the last possible moment in order to provide the minimum amount of time to get a TRO and/or PI before the law takes effect on October 1st.
