Well, they had lots of good examples too, and in a 3 minute overview it's hard to say, but it sounded like they will emphasize both ends of it

Schools now cover so many 'safety' issues: Alcohol, Tobacco, etc. Why not firearms?

In a country with 350 million or so guns and a constitutional amendment protecting them, not teaching children gun safety is like not teaching a child how to swim. It's as irresponsible and negligent as it gets.
