Was going to suggest Black Hole, as they make a good shooting barrel as well. But for a 18" .308 tube it looks to be right about $340, give or take.

Problem is the funding issue, in regards to what I could get past the wifey.

As much as I'd like a Shilen, Bartlein, etc... I can't justify it for a while, if at all because of the financial hit. I don't need 1/4 MOA, I just need to be able to hit 1-1.5 MOA consistently.

And yes I was asking about a 308 AR 10 barrel. Thanks for noticing and getting it back on track, Brad and speed.

Shooting 1.5- 2 MOA at 600 isn't so easy, wind effects you more than you would think. If you want real world hits at 9.5" -12.5" means your gun should probably shoot 1/2 to 3/4" at 100.

I will do some digging to see of I can find something decent for $300ish.

It seems as if BHW has gotten their stuff in stock, but if I want the black peen coating thing, it will take 1-2 weeks, but that is tolerable.

I'm kind of up in the air. Both are roughly the same price. Both are 18" and mid-length.

Wait a while, save some lunch money, get a better barrel. :)

But I understand your situation. But fall more into the Buy Once, Cry Once camp.

Too many times I have bought, then ended up buying again.
