Hold my "Dumais heart" sign in the holster please. She actually has 2 bills that make sense, and one is cross filed with a Hough bill.

Barnes' "Campus Carry" bill (HB159) is reassigned to a different Committee. They are playing the shell game with it and it is being heard in Appropriations on January 31st. (Thanks to the AGC email for the heads up).

The Hough bill is to clean up paperwork and make MSP's job easier.

The other "antiques" bill is a non starter given that folks that are prohibited in this state for a simple misdemeanor, use such firearms to hunt, for sporting use, and re-enactments.

Damn, that one is fantastic. But I'd rather see her do the right thing. Which bills?

One is HB162, cross filed with SB16, Senator Hough-Has to do with the HQL crap, not requiring a copy on the application just a HQL number.

The other deals with her rendition of her black powder firearms ban from last year. It is Arunah Miller's bill HB0318.

It basically says that someone prohibited from owning a rifle or shotgun is also prohibited from owning a "antique firearm".

It accomplishes what Dumais wanted to do last year, but in the right way. (in my opinion).

Not sure how it will go through NICS, but the approach seems correct, and if we are against prohibited people owning firearms, looks like it falls in line with that.

(Edit-Sorry Dan-I was still typing when you posted. Please correct me on 318 if I am reading it wrong, and thank you)

Antiques are not classified as firearms, and thus there is no federal paperwork required on them. Since there is no federal paperwork required, does this mean that all antiques will REGULATED and require a 77R to purchase so that MSP can do the background check(s)??

We have a lot of interest in 2/7 but let's keep spreading the word outside these threads. There are a lot of folks that don't frequent MDS but are still interested in supporting the cause. Book of Faces, other forums or the water cooler at work - keep spreading the details.

I retract this. Fire away with it.

I appear to have had a momentary attack of "suckerism", and Rack called me and slapped me back into reality.

    Thanks Rack.

Whoever digs that sign, fire away.

I'm looking forward to my "Kids & Family" signs.

We are expecting a BIG crowd, so Deplorables Tuesday deserves the BIGGEST sign that the Patriot Picket has ever deployed--4ft x 8 ft!

We can't show all of it because it will give away our Special Guest for the event. Don't want to miss this on Feb 7!

This one is so big that we had to use a forklift to get to the parts we needed to paint...

Can I get one of yer signs? My painting skills were not as good as I thought.

What you are seeing in this thread (and you haven't seen them all) are just the 2017 models.

There will be plenty of "evergreen" signs and some that were specific to individual pieces of legislation that we can re-use this year because the infringing overlords in Annapolis just can't help retreading the same tired ass gun control legislation that is losing them seats all over the country.
