If the ATF starts an amesty program calling binary and bump stocks machine guns, this might elavate MGs to common use.

I posted this in the other thread. Turns out, there is precedent for the ATF deciding something is NFA, after its been on the market, and requiring people to register under an amnesty program (no tax).

Look at what they did with "street sweeper" shotguns (ATF rulings 94-1 and 94-2, for USAS-12, Striker-12, and Streetsweeper shotguns). ATF reclassified these shotguns as NFA destructive device items and granted amnesty registration with no tax for people who owned them prior to 1994-1 ruling. People had bought them cash and carry. Amnesty ended 2001 (see ATF 2001-1). Transfer taxes only applied prospectively after 1994 ruling.

What they will do about serial numbers, IDK. But it should be easy enough.

If I was a betting man, and I am, I'd bet that they follow the same precedent. IDK what form they used or if fingerprints were required for registration... but seems likely they will resurrect whatever form that they used. Also, 2001-1 says:

So get out your tin foil and apply an extra layer. How do they know who the purchasers of record are??

Since anything of this type that myself or my son purchased was done so with cash either in state or as far away as ga or at gunshows without a receipt I see no way of connecting all the dots.

Maybe they try the honor system, but since they are dishonorable maybe many others will be in kind.

And since you’re a betting man, how long before md requires serial numbers on 80’s of all and any kind? And then for another awb since now they will say some folks can fire just as fast as bump stocks using their hands, or maybe they will make us serialize our hands next, you know bill 666 in the House and senate and mark us as the beasts they think we are??

    Dont give them ideas.

At least you will be able to say truthfully your hands are registered weapons.

    Lol

Two nights ago my wife and I were holding hands and she said ever since I have known you your hands were tougher than lumberjack hands and as hat as a sledge hammer BUT. Now your hands are kinda soft like boss hands, what’s up with that?

I have no words other than I have been a boss too long

And our mga most likely has bills for all that I said sitting in a drawer already written waiting for the right time to throw them onto the house and senate floor, I would bet on that

    How about: FUFROSH01 ?

    I like it....Alphabetized and numerical....

    ATTENTION: MARYLAND BUMP STOCK OWNERS,

Our side has a case that a Bump Stock law that does not offer compensation for banning possession violates the "takings" clause of the Maryland Constitution.

I am a proud Bump Stock owner and have already volunteered to be the first plaintiff in any lawsuit.

However, this kind of action benefits from a wider pool of plaintiffs. I will NOT ask you to post publicly on MDS that you own one (unless you wish to), nor do I want you to send me a Personal Message (PM) confirming that you own one.

But I am asking you to use our Patriot Picket network to get word to me that you wish to be part of a potential Bump Stock plaintiff pool. The only way I am interested in knowing you are a Bump Stock owner is hearing about it IN PERSON from you or through a friend, or through a friend of a friend of a friend at a PP event, or when I am manning the MSI table, or when you bump into me in an aisle at a gun show, or at the bar, etc...

This is a person-to-person networking and all I need now--if you are in for this--is to know your screen name. Should a legal challenge arise, I will reverse our person-to-person channel to ask if you want to reveal yourself on legal documents.

OK, let's get this party started..

Welp there goes the theory that not a lot of people owned bump stocks. :innocent0

No different than when they banned the AR-15. So many never realized they needed them (hand raised) before October 2013. Same thing here, many will need twelve now.

Not my design, got it from a 2A Good Samaritan on another forum.

^^Click the blue arrow in above quote and it will take you to a special place that has CAD plans for a 3D printed bump device that is grip based
