The thing that matters is cross over day. Even if they dont make it by cross over day Mike and Mike could shove them to a rules committee and jam them through anyways.

Yes indeed. This is why I have the tracker set up to email me daily with the current status of those bills.

How are you "tracking" the progress of these bills? Just by watching this link?

    http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/f...bjpage&tab=subject3&id=guns&stab=01&ys=2018RS

The MGA website has a tracker built-in specifically for this purpose:

    http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmTrackingMain.aspx?pid=trackpage

Basically you create a login and set up lists of bills you're interested in. Then you can either run a report right off of the website, or have it send you a report of current status or changes every day/week etc.

This is what the report looks like when you run it from the website:

    It's handy.

Ordinances instead of state-wide law would do it, but those in control in Baltimore want to make everyone pay for their chronic mismanagement of their own problems. I don't recall weather MD is like VA or WV where state law supersedes local law either (eg, VA towns can't enforce public carry laws that are more prohibitive than VA state laws on the matter).

Maryland has a supremecy clause when it comes to firearms laws. The counties and cities cannot write any, only the state. There is, of course, a date that if a local was on the books before the supremecy clause was made law, they are grandfathered and still law.

So they claim the supremacy clause over local jurisdictions yet will not accept it from the COTUS? They truly are The Eye of Sauron...

Unless the local ordinance conflicts with state law.

That is no surprise at all in my book. It is going to take the SCOTUS to tell MD their gun laws are unconstitutional. Nothing else will do the trick.... The 2 counties and one city rule the rest of MD and they are very anti 2A plus not to mention our very own Herr Frosh who is very anti 2A and would love to see the whole country disarmed if he could....

I’d like to see Frosh disarmed. If guns are so bad he should lead by example. Someone that should never forget, forgot.
