Too bad "employees" (read NON business owners) are lower class citizens.

We can only hope that this turn of events signals the fact that the court-powered inevitability of a shall-issue state of affairs is dawning on the MSP and Frosh. I’m too cynical to think they’ll just do the right thing entirely on their own steam, but it’s possible that drip-dripping out a change in posture is meant to blunt the rabid blowback from the Bloomberg Mommy Industrial Complex.

Real thing is I have blood in this game as well , I am a vested member here that has skin in the game . I have put money where my mouth is , stood tall as long as I could monetary handle it . But there is a hierarchy here at MDS . That is brutal truth .

What does this mean? Not understanding it.

There is a pecking order here . IMHO

Too bad "employees" (read NON business owners) are lower class citizens.

I'm just a regular Joe, and I'm not in the MDS pecking order, so I lose twice.

    :D

Okay, I guess I missed something, I didn't read the whole thread. I was just talking about business owners being able to get permits while non business owners aren't as valuable to society as far as the Crown is concerned.

Don't know anything about an MDS pecking order.

What is the easiest way and best type of business to start that will satisfy msp requirements?

Do they still require bank records?

Every case is going to be MSP-subjective, but you do want to avoid the obvious appearance of starting something that’s purely a facade for this purpose. Meaning, they can and may ask to see proof that income from the business is flowing to you personally. In MD, a one-man/woman LLC is easy to set up but it’s “pass-through” from a tax perspective. Meaning, you can’t rule out the MSP wanting to see parts of your tax returns showing income from the business.

Sole proprietor business is very easy to start. Register a trade name with the state, a few other forms if I remember correctly. I think the sole proprietor filing can be completed by mail.
Set up a business checking account. I had to submit banking records showing cash flow, business license, registered trade name.
Best type is up to you, landscape, small engine repair, pressure washing, mechanic work, it all depends on what you can turn a dollar doing.

With all due respect Stoveman , i don't know how to capture and post the series of posts about the subject , but you did say more then that of which you posted here about chickens .

If members go back to look they will see you said also "Loose Lips Sinks Ships" and "Don't Be an H" or something similar to that .

The one thing i see and other members have text me about that they feel is the issue is that "I stole the thunder" of other members here that wanted to be first to report .

I think they are correct , we got some big swinging dicks here that i stepped on . That is what i am guilty of , not watching where i was walking . :D:innocent0
Meh, if I cared about being first I could have posted up just after 4pm yesterday but I wanted to verify it for myself.

MSP isn't the only agency in the state. You are far more likely to be stopped by a local LEO than a state LEO from any state agency.
Agreed. If I had restrictions on my permit I would be less worried about being stopped by MSP than I would a town cop somewhere.

Short of purchasing an existing successful business , you need to maintain your cart/ horse sequencing .

First step is creating a viable business .

What are your skills and abilities ? Your available venture capital ? Available time resources ? The expected market demand for your products/ services ?

Consult your tax lawyer , and similar advisors to determine the most suitable approaches to establishing your Enterprise , it's not one size fits all .

I think you’re giving it way too much thought.
Start a sole proprietorship called BigFoot Mobile Umbrella Sales, start a small business account at your local bank. Buy a case of umbrellas at Sam’s Club for $10 a piece and keep them in your trunk (since you are a mobile business). Sell umbrellas for 3 months, doesn’t need to be cash, doesn’t need to be a certain amount just show sales into the aforementioned account. Take your class and apply for your now unrestricted CCW. Continue selling umbrellas here and there.

    I wouldn’t have started the business except I needed a G&S.

Jester is actually more appropriate, considering the Quasi-Kangaroo Court as of lately.
