    Big jump in todays numbers

With testing kits becoming more available, there have been predictions of a big jump in cases. It's not because there are actually more, but because they're now being detected.

The upside is that this will lower the morbidity percentage because most cases will not lead to death.

Twice today while out and about a person standing next to my let out a big cough with no effort made to cover or redirect it. At this point I’m still a little too proud to walk around wearing a mask but really without it there’s almost no way to keep yourself away from people spewing on you. I’m pretty good about keeping to myself and keeping clean but unless you stay 10’ away from people you’re doomed.

I was very surprised. The Safeway @ Arundel Mills wasn't even busy; though the whole area was engulfed by rush hour traffic.

    I got my steak

Is this when you “see something say something”? Was in Giant in Urbana and Wegmans in Frederick this week and in both places saw an employee cough into their hand, with no tissue, then continue stocking. Just made a comment of “shouldn’t you wash your hands” and got the dirty stare.

May have to avoid the American Legion and the VFW's in the foreseeable future. A lot of the old timers in there get sick at the drop of a hat. Seems to be constant coughing and wheezing anyway... like a barracks bay.

The Corona Virus is just the tip of the ice berg. This opens a whole new class of viruses so I predict there are many more to come, for example these:

    Miller virus
    Budweiser virus
    Shaffer virus
    Shiner virus
    Rolling Rock virus
    Hamm's virus
    Heineken virus
    Schlitz virus
    Busch virus
    Anheuser Busch virus
    Dos Equis virus
    Modelo virus
    Pabst Blue Ribbon virus
    Samuel Adams virus
    Yuengling virus
    Carlsberg virus
    Milwaukee's Best virus
    Tecate virus
    Guinness virus
    Blue Moon virus
    Keystone virus
    Michelob virus

The last one I'd want is the Schlitz Virus. There is nothing worse than a case of Schlitz.

Ha! What if you come down with a case of the Schiltz -AND- a case of the Blatz at the SAME time? :ohnoes:

Went to Costco today,, NEEDED TP and a few other things. Water limit 5 cases, TP, paper towels, 5 limit.

So a late 20s woman, had 15 cases of water and 15 30roll TP. While wheeling it through store, a worker advised of limit. Her reply,,,,, "my son and daughter are with me" (I never saw them)

So I get to the register with my ONE 30roll package, a big stack of paper plates, recycling bags, and Crystal Light. I joked to the young lady at register I felt out of place with only one pack. She said it has been crazy. Also, they are not allowed to do samples,,, I didnt even realize it walking through,, but yup, no samples.

Big Box stores will become community epicenters. Preppers will doom themselves and everyone they associate with.

Only the agoraphobes and misanthropes will survive.

This new bug will clean out places like American Legion, VFW, etc. not just for minute. Lots of those old guys got lots of physical issues. They are prime targets.

Got a call this afternoon from a social worker at the VA home my 88 year old dad’s in outside Philadelphia. Said they’re taking “precautions” due to the virus and advising all family members not to visit until further notified. No cases there yet. They did the same last year during peak flu season. Talked to my dad about an hour ago and he said that he wasn’t even told. Most of the folks there are wheelchair bound.
