Brass is in the CED dryer right now. I'll deal with it when I wake up tomorrow morning. Not really concerned about length of time, brass isn't gonna weaken at 145f.

I've plugged my tumbler into a timer, something that might work for you also?

Trimmed some 223 brass and got my wet tumbling processing chain set up (Rebel 17 tumbler + FA bucket media separator + CED brass dryer). Did a run of some range pickups, and I have to say it's impressive how clean wet tumbling gets stuff. Downside is that those pins are kind of a PITA to manage. Wound up using a fridge magnet to grab a couple stragglers - I bet someone makes a tool for this, right?

Frankford Arsenal makes a good releasable magnet. I have this. It works great.

Thanks for the magnet recommendations, folks. CED brass dryer did a pretty reasonable job getting everything dry, but did have a couple cases stuck inside each other - the usual problem with mixed range pickups no matter how you're cleaning them.

I'm sure it would, just not quite there yet. Probably will get a pair of Belkin Conserve timers, since those go for 3 and 6 hours - just about right for tumbling and brass drying.

Meh, we've been doing that since Thumbler started tumbling.

It is a good idea though, vibrating cleaners bother mom much less in the middle of the night!

My wife gets real pissed about vibrators in the middle of the night. That's sleeping time she says.

Just set up the Mr. Bulletfeeder on my 650. Loading 165gn 9mm is so easy now it almost feels like I'm cheating.

I bought the 223/556 kit and will be setting that up in the near future

Right? It's not quite as much of a game changer as the case feeder, but it's pretty close. Just crank that lever until you run out of something, refill, and then keep pulling. Pretty good life.

If I pre load all of my primer tubes I'm sure I can load over a 1000 an hour without even trying.

Got the Lee Pro 1000 (bought in 1995) tuned in and humming along pumping out 45acp, 6gr 231 powder, Winchester primers, 230fr FMJ. My case ejection mod, made from a junk drawer clevis pin. It works perfect and took 3 minutes to mod, no dis-assembly needed.
Got 350 rounds done after solving a case flare issue to seat the bullet and dicking around with the bullet feeder gimmick, tossed it.

Resized and expanded 50 .32acp cases to load up this weekend. Need some more neck tension as I didn’t have enough when I tried my loads a couple weeks ago (I’d loaded it early on in learning to reload) leading to very inconsistent velocities and a couple that set back.

Figured out how I bent the depriming pin. Turns out a few cases mixed in with my brass are f-ing berdan primed. At least I didn’t bend this decapper before I realized what was going on. Also easy to spot the cases as they are S&B head stamp and SMEARED with primer sealant (seriously looks like someone dipped the cases in primer sealant).

Switched mid-run to Winchester primers from CCI, headed to the local indoor range for a few tests. The Winchester's ain't firing 100%, pulled the firing pin and spring, wasn't too dirty (Glock 21 Gen2-AFM series)
And not happy with 6gr 231 powder for the 230gr FMJ. My old loading book recommended 6gr, today's chart at 5.9gr max.
Too bad I loaded so many, what a pain to remove the bullet and re-powder them.
Ordered a 6lb (Wolffe) and 6.5Lb (Ghost) firing pin spring to see if that alone solves it. Will try the 6lb first, and back down the powder to 5.2gr.

My condolences. Just look inside the case. Berdan primed cases have two flash holes on either side of the center where a boxer primed flash hole would be.

I've seen conflicting data on 231 for 45ACP. I've been using this powder for decades and have seen 5.8gr being max loads... or 6.2gr being max...depending upon whose 230 gr bullet you're using. ..

    Nosler 230gr... 5.8 gr max
    Speer 230gr... 6.2 gr max

Just curious... which flavor 230gr bullet are you using? I predominately shoot 200gr SWC on top of 5.2gr 231 and a WW primer... but I've got close to 400 230gr FMJ bullets...

Cranked out and gauged 450 9mm rounds in prep for the PNTC tournament in a week or so. Also lubed+sized+deprimed a hundred 223 cases. Also did some clean up and organization, which I know isn't sexy, but is necessary from time to time.
