In a real SHTF scenario the only "legal" tender will be food and ammo. Guess you could always use the cash as TP..
I got a couple boxes of 9mm ammo I could trade for a truckload of food. I'm also thinking of saving all of my bottle caps.
Never had much money on hand. I should change that.
My stockpile of Charmin Ultra Soft will be worth more than your scratchy old Toadskins, Fins, and Jacksons.

You guys won't tell someone how many and what types of guns are stored in your house, but have no issue indicating you have THOUSAND'S of dollars on hand. Just saying.

I would prefer to have enough preps to survive any situation without the need for cash. But maybe a little cash for filling up in enough gas to make it wherever so need to be.
