I can't argue against the more modern ccw pistols, but I have strongly favorable feeling for the PPK.

Those who state the recoil is unpleassant are correct if their only experience is with the 380acp. I completely agree. However, the PPK was designed around the 32acp, which is a horse of a different color.

In my experience the 32 PPK is a delight to shoot, and shoot accurately. Recoil is negligible, making followup shots easy to keep on target.
This. The PP/PPK series are perfectly mannered in the original .32 ACP. And the trigger is outstanding - it's not often recognized, but the Walther PP is the genesis of the Hammerli 200-series target pistols. Which won a lot of Olympic medals. The guns will shoot.

For what it's worth... I have a whole safe full of guns, I'd be more then willing to let your wife shoot and see what size/type she likes before having to purchase something. Some of what I have in the "conceal carry" size includes Glock 45, Glock 43X, Springfield XDM-9 Compact, Taurus G2C, Ruger LCP Max, Beretta 84FS & 85BB, and a SIG 228. The Glock 45 and SIG 228 are probably too big for this category of carry, but some people swear they have no problem slamming one down the front of their pants with a spare mag in a sidecar to boot. You supply the ammo, I'll bring the guns.

I would also like to add, while small guns (like my LCP Max) are definitely harder to shoot/can be more felt recoil/etc, what needs to have the highest priority of consideration is the actual discipline to carry. A lot of people fall into the trap of not getting comfortable carrying whatever piece they choose, then end up leaving it in the nightstand because it doesn't fit comfortable with their outfit, rubs wrong during the summer, or whatever the excuse...I find that I grab my LCP Max and put it in my pocket 99 times out of 100. Having a "snappy" pocket pistol in "only" 380 is 1000x better then having a "better" 9mm that's left at home.
Very nice of you to offer. I'll keep it in mind. I'll have to Google some of those guns because I'm igNANT. So many Glocks, so little money! Yeah comfort, I agree, is super important.

Side topic: Are CC permits able to be had for non profit owners or just profit business. I'm not sure if you know. I couldn't find anything on goggle. Thanks again.

Sorry to keep asking so many questions but I recently fell upon the Glock membership coupon program. I had been thinking of buying used but then realized I don't know enough to safeguard my purchase. I saw a consignment Glock at Atlantic for $400 I think. But I don't know the dangers of buying used. Also the Glock membership coupon thing gets it down to $450 or something. I read you only get the coupon after the second year though. A couple of opinions? Sorry I just don't know the dangers, risks, warranties etc.

Do you transact cash/check business in a bank?

If you're a bona-fide business owner, you should be approved.

I'm just a shiitbag citizen schmuckatelli/accuser, hoping for a win at SCOTUS

Buy at Atlantic with NO hesitation

Lost you very quickly, but it wasnt intended for me so I'll try YouTube locked breech vs blowback! It's better for me to make sure I know what I can about differences in pistols. I did get a little of the second paragraph. So thank you!
Here's a pair of videos that show a good contrast between the two.

Basically in a locked breech, short recoil pistol the barrel and slide are locked together until both have recoiled back against the spring a short distance and most (maybe all) of the pressure has dissipated out the end of the barrel. When the barrel reaches the end of it's travel it unlocks from the slide, which continues back to eject the spent cartridge and pick up a new one, then travels forward, locking the barrel in place again as it reaches it's closed position.

In a blowback design there is no locking, only spring pressure holds a bolt or slide forward in the closed position. It begins to travel back immediately when the round is fired, ejects the empty casing and picks up a new one before closing again, with spring pressure holding it forward again.

Yes "retreads". Anyways check out ranges that rent pistols out. Check out how your girl feels n then check groupings. However even if she gets better groupings off the bat in one, if she's more comfortable in another she's more likely to practice more in that one. Then she'll get better and negate first groupings.

It’s not a bad price. But you have to ask yourself if you really want three of the sort of mags you have to buy in Maryland. Pop over the line to a gun show in VA or a shop in PA, and get the 12 rounders (for example) for range time and backup carry. If you buy in MD, you’re stuck with 10-round mags.

Unless the mags that come with our Tacpacs are plugged.

Sure, unless that. Of course he’ll have to travel to the special Mag Modifying Parking Space at the Gettysburg McDonalds to remedy that handicap. Good to know there’s an angle on the package, though. Does make it more attractive.

:lol2:--- First I've heard of this magical place. Perhaps we need to create a map of all the special spots used to comply with the MD crown's edicts---

Some dealers will "block" standard mags to make them Crown Approved. You are not allowed to unblock them. Unless you are in The Parking Space. There are several. One at the Gettysburgs MagDonalds, one outside Nordstroms at Tysons Corner, and one out front of anywhere in West Virginia that sells alcohol or food or hardware or shoes or car parts or alcohol or tires or alcohol.

    Here's the one in Gettysburg.

OP, the right answer is: you need one of each. Everything else is just silly talk.
