My brother loves his P365. It fits well in his tiny “raccoon” hands!

A cpl guns shows ago , a 5'2" petite female had original size 365 blue gun fit her hand perfectly .

BUT , for guns of this class of gun , there are additional contexts to consider .

IF really extreme concealment is the purpose . that is the controlling parameter . To wit ; Does it fit into the front pants pocket of the style and size of trousers you typically wear , AND can adaquately be drawn from said pocket , with YOUR Hand wrapped around it ?

It may well involve compromise and trade offs . i.e. compromised accuracy and control , power level ( either caliber , or specific loading) , but still * good enough * to be useful for SD .

In the Revolver Era , this sometimes involved using stock tiny grips vs oversize grips on small frame snubs . Today , it might mean an original 365/ Hellcat/ Shield/ etc instead of a subsequent expanded version .

Nice holster, Ed. I have one of his IWB holsters coming; I was thinking of getting a snap loop pancake as well some time, to simplify removal/installation. What's your thinking on the loop style? I dunno whether the juice is worth the squeeze, if I lose that snug fit.

(I'd be using it for the CZ Rami.)

    Hi Bob,

I've never used a snap-loop holster. I like the fixed slots for the way the holster rides really tight to the body, but it sure would be nice not to have to thread the holster on and off of the belt. I am really spoiled by using the clip-on IWB and how easy on/easy off that thing is.

Because of your earlier post, Ed, I ordered an iwb pro slim. I can’t wait for it to come in. I was told about 6-8 weeks, but seems well worth the wait

Finally got my new p365 out to the range. I had tempered expectations only because of the overall size. I’ve heard of some people getting a “good” trigger and some getting a “not as good trigger that gets better with break in.” The trigger felt great and the gun was much less snappy than anticipated. Front sight was nice and bright
First three shots out of the gun at 25, 50, and 75 feet. First magazine was at scattered distances from 25-75 feet. I have the two stock magazines of course and a 12 rounder. The pinky extension mag and the 12 really make a difference in control. The flush 10 rounder really gives you a compromised hold. The pinky and 12 make the gun a solid shooter. So much so that I wondered if the XL would’ve been the smarter buy.

Thanks. I’ll see how it goes. I very well may follow the E.Shell school of gun buying.

Like a lot of people new to carrying, a thumb break felt a little more assuring. You know in case I’m doing a hand stand or something I don’t have to worry about my gun falling out. I liked the DeSantis.

It's that break dancing with the FBI guy that might be your undoing.

Loving the macro, but I've gone through two nice holsters before finding what felt best. As corny as it sounds, ended up with a essential holsters naked holster (minimalist) and I finally settled in. I have a four brothers holster I bought not realizing it was specifically built for the macro with a tlr-7 on it. LOL. Let me know if anyone is in need. :)

Hey guys. What is the smallest grip module I can use with the 365x macro? Meaning what grip module will accept that slide? Any of the Wilson combat? I called them and they weren’t sure so I'm gonna throw to the experts here. It looks to be by the compatibility chart that maybe the Xl module?

I think they all interchange. Slide just overhangs the short grip modules. Not my pic but:
"Hybrid P365. Stock grip, XL slide, flat trigger, Romeo zero, and the hogue for good measure."

Yes, smdub is correct, they ARE all interchangeable. If you are looking to make it as small as possible, the original P365 grip module with the P365 flush-fit 10 rounder is as small as they go, and your pinkie will likely hang off the end of the grip.

For a slightly longer grip that will allow most people to use their pinkie, the 10 round P365 mag with the pinkie extension helps and only adds about 1/2".

You can actually use the X/XL 12 rounder with the P365 baseplate adapter to get even more grip length, but then you're right back to the X/XL grip length.

The Wilson Combat grip module will also fit any of the FCU/Slide combinations. For a P365 grip module, you can buy new Sig module a little cheaper than the WC. If you sign up over at SigTalk, you can access the classifieds "Marketplace" and find used/pull-off Sig grip modules for $30-35-40 shipped and used WCs for around $50-60.

Gotcha. Thanks for the replies. I’m a smaller guy and that macro prints on me a bit more than I’d like. 1st time CC (still waiting for the actual permit). So I am trying to get as small a footprint as I can in the 365. Originally was gonna go with the XL but the FFL had that macro and I was all in. I can probably get away with the Macro this time of year but def not in the warmer months. Also I have that rebate deal from sig and if I buy another grip I’d like to get the free mag to match that grip rather then for the macro.

And once I make the grip module change how do I select a holster that fits?

I am very thin myself and I was carrying the P365 with a 10 round pinkie mag when it was t-shirt weather. Now that it's cooled off and I'm wearing more, I am carrying the P365X with a flush 12 rounder. Admittedly not much actual grip length difference, but in practice, the difference is between seeing it or not seeing it print.

The XL/Macro slides are a little long for me, poking while AIWB and interfering with my hip pocket wallet at 3:30. Fine for OWB.

You could jump into the fire and part out what is effectively a new gun. Buy another slide and grip module and be set up as a P365. A lot of people upgrade their P365 to take an optic (use an 'X' upper) and sell of their original non-milled upper half. I just saw a P365 slide assembly go for $275 shipped. This means that for about $300-325, you could be rocking a P365 style pistol with the short slide and grip, using your original FCU.

Roger that. This is my first carry gun so I’m really new to the whole thing (not to firearms). It’s the grip that’s printing. So my thought was to get it a bit shorter with another grip module. I have have been carrying around the house IWB 4 o’clock. Completely agree that the longer slide prohibits AIWB unless I never plan on sitting. When I went to rent the 365 I settled on xl for its length in the grip. The macro has a bit longer hand grip I believe than the XL. I do have a 12 round magazine with the extension and I hate not having my hand fully on the firearm. So the question/solution (maybe) is 365x macro comp slide, 12 round with the pinkie extension, with which grip module? Or just bite the bullet, take your advice and head over to sig talk and get the original and the XL grips. Too many choices…. What terrible problems I have

Put my vanilla 356 slide on an X Macro frame.
Had to cut the front of the frame off and do a little shaping.
