I have a several Buck knives with broken points and I saw a video about Bucks warranty and repair services and I am thinking of sending them in to see how it goes.

Also they have a spa and sharpening service that I will send a couple in for also.

Has anyone done this and how did it work out?

I wonder if they repair or replace them?

I wonder if they would repair or replace the sheaths?

    has anyone done this?

If so how did it turn out??

A way very long time ago I sent a broken 120 back and they replaced it.
I cracked a deer pelvis with it and it broke it clean in two about 1" in front of the tang in like 1985.
    Right clean off.
Anyway I sent it to California somewhere and about two weeks later another showed up.
I didn't send the sheath with it.
I bought that knife from a flea market for about 8 dollars I think with the sheath.
Some time later I skinned a leg off, sewed it and shrunk it to the sheath.
I still have it but dont use it anymore.

Interesting thread. My two folding buck knives are both from the early/ mid 90s and neither have ever been sharpened properly. Might be worth the $7 they charge to put a factory edge back on them.

    Where they send me.
I have sent some things to them in the past and would do so again if the need arises. They did great work, quick, and at excellent prices.

Had two when belonged to my Father and one I had carried for about 15yrs that the lock was getting loose on. All came back in great condition. Money very well spent!

If something is sentimental make a note of that on the paperwork so that they don't replace it if they can't repair it.

A friend and I both bought buck at bass pro sales. His blade chipped cracking a deers pelvic bone. The sent him a new one. No questions, except name/mailing address

Forget the model but it was the loss leader type, with zipper hook, mid/late ‘00s

still have 3 or 4 laying around.no issues on mine.

edit: fixed blade Omni hunter, black rubber grip… iirc

I've sent in several. They can replace a blade in a Buck 110 but you should state in your letter or form that you want them to repair THAT knife. They will replace sheaths. Any that I have sent in return with a polish and sharpening. I was very happy!

Now I have a hankering for an auto Buck again. Dammit.

Not in that steel. At least go D2. 420HC is dog$hit

Or get this one in S30V (still not my favorite, but it's better)

(I am a fan of buck knives. I have a few. Particularly a Buck Skinner in ATS34 with a Bos heat treat that is amazing, and a MOP and silver gentlemen's pocket knife El Cajon Last production run Personally engraved by the buck bros....but 420HC is still crap steel)

I have a little 309 two blade that I've carried everyday, everywhere (except on an airplane) since 1973 when my girlfriend, now wife, gave it to me for my 17th birthday. The blades wore down and my kids gave me a new one for Father's Day, probably 15 years ago. I broke the blade cutting a heavy cardboard box.
I sent them both back to Buck. When I got the first knife it had a pamphlet that said they would replace worn blades for $1, 1973.
Buck replaced all three blades, sent them back along with an invoice for $11 and a kind note that ended with God Bless.
