So does anybody know if AIM will ship the hi-cap mags to MD or remove them from the firearm? True, we know that the MDSP Advisory (LD-FRU-24-004) says that a Maryland FFL may receive a high cap magazine and then pin it so it has a max capacity of 10 rounds. Does AIM Surplus know this?

The AIM Surplus website says they will remove the magazine from the shipment when they ship a firearm sold to a state (e.g. Maryland) with a magazine restriction.

Are you law enforcement? Show them proof and they will honor that exemption.

    Otherwise, I doubt it.

    ASK them.

Why are you so sure that they will honor it? Mighty presumptuous.

I tried getting a deal with a large company who has a whole "law enforcement" department for sales of mags and they said not at all to Maryland. Most couldn't care less about that exemption.

Called AIM. No dice- she said if they sold a firearm to me they’d remove the mag. If I bought it from a dealer who bought it from them- get this- then they’d ship the firearm w the mag. Ok, even though clearly they have to ship to a MD dealer (FFL) if it it’s sale to me? Yep. The woman I spoke with said, “It’s company policy.”

These mag questions have been answered before. If you buy from a Virginia FFL that will then forward the gun to an MD FFL you can go to VA and pickup the mags. You will still have to wait 7 days to pick up gun at md ffl.

For glock mags you will end up paying more in transfer fees than the mags, so not really worth it.

OP was about AIM surplus’ LEO firearm, a P320 in .40 SW. AIM continues to advertise a host of LEO turn in pistols at good prices.

I’m not going to take a road trip to Ohio where AIM has their storefront to pick up a SIG mag.

Just trying to figure how good a deal it is to buy a LEO turn in SIG at AIM if you add shipping, add FFL transfer, add cost of a couple SIG mags (that you didn’t get w the purchase). $IG mags cost a bit more than Glock.

I like AIM, but their policy is annoying.
